Introducing the editor

Emily Wren at The Pig, Dorset

Hi! My name is Emily, and i’m the editor and blogger at the Brit Crowd.

I was born and raised in Britain, and have enjoyed spending over 30 years travelling around the globe – seeing some of the world’s most amazing sites, including swimming on the Great Barrier Reef, trekking into The Grand Canyon and skiing down The Alps to name a few.

But in 2015 something clicked on a trip to my father’s home town in Wales. I was surrounded by beauty and never really realised it!

I absolutely love Britain and British culture – and I want to scream and shout about it from the top of my lungs.

But i’ve realised a better approach would be to write about all the amazing things you can experience in the UK on a blog.

I’m a former award-winning BBC journalist and editor, who absolutely loves writing and photography.

I grew up in a picture-perfect village in Oxfordshire, where I spent my days exploring fields and venturing out with my friends into the countryside, surrounding myself with nature and animals.

I still absolutely love the great outdoors, and after a 7 year stint living in London I now live in the South of England, in a beautiful town surrounded by history, culture and countryside.

My hobbies include horse riding, running, driving, hiking, writing, filming and eating (afternoon tea is particular favourite!).
